HERB GIBSONVibraphonist extraordinaire Herb Gibson, truly a part of the historic "fabric of jazz music in America", has recorded his new CD, "BLUE VIBES", for release on the Silverado Records label. A stunning collection of jazz standards, as well as some original compositions by Herb, make this CD a compelling array of instrumental landscapes, as well as an introduction to Herb's vocal prowess. Joined on four tunes by jazz piano legend Cedar Walton, who also contributes two of his own original compositions to the mix, Herb is also accompanied by bay area veteran stalwarts such as Walter Savage, Larry Hancock, Chris Amberger, Donald Bailey, Mel Martin, Curt Moore, and Spencer Allen, not to mention up and coming young pianist Leonard Thompson. As if that weren't enough, Herb also gets help from world-renowned Blues man (and first cousin), Keb 'Mo'. Produced by Silverado Records founder, Patrick Flynn, who considers it a "wonderful opportunity, and a dream come true," to be able to work with these great musicians; "I have been so blessed to work with Herb and these great players on this project, he is one of the most professional, and absolutely delightful people I have ever had the pleasure to know."
