Calistoga is known for its Hot Springs, Cool Wines, Warm Welcome. Located at the very top of the beautiful Napa Valley, Calistoga is the hot springs resort destination. When you're here, you can relax and rejuvenate in our renowned spas, discover world-class wines, explore artisan shops and fine restaurants featuring the valley's best nightlife, all in a small-town setting with a sophisticated yet friendly feel. Lodging choices range from elegant modern resorts and hotels to intimate bed and breakfast inns, with plenty of options in every price range from modest to luxurious. Calistoga also boasts the most stunning natural scenery of any Napa Valley town, and outdoor recreation choices to let you experience it firsthand.
We're proud that Calistoga was named one of the United States' Top Ten destinations for relaxation and spa by Trip Advisor's 2010 TRAVELERS CHOICE DESTINATIONS AWARDS. Just take a look at what Trip Advisor says about Calistoga: "Here's your day in Calistoga: Yoga. Massage. Spa lunch. Hike. Wine-tasting. Facial. Mud bath. Gourmet dinner (with more wine). Dip in a mineral pool. Does it get more relaxing than a spa town built around natural springs in the middle of wine country? We don't think so." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
Calistoga is now an official Napa Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area). Prompting widespread jubilation, Calistoga was designated its own unique grape growing region in December 2009, after a six year effort by Bo Barrett of Chateau Montelena Winery and Congressman Mike Thompson. This will not only "concrete Calistoga's place in the world of wine," as Rex Stults, Industry Relations Director for Napa Valley Vintners, puts it, but also gives consumers confidence that when they buy wines saying Calistoga on the label, the product contains 85% grapes grown in this particular region.
For an unforgettable
view of this spectacular area, take a hot air balloon ride or hit the
hiking and biking trails. Calistoga has something for everyone in every
season with year-round parades, lively music, art and wine events, and
a thriving wellness community to care for your body and nurture your
spirit.
Find yourself here, and you’ll find yourself coming back. (And we'll always be glad to see you!)
